Sharna Burgess is headed back to the ballroom.

On Monday, Good Morning America revealed that the Dancing with the Stars pro will be returning for season 35, five years after she left the series. It will mark Burgess’s first season back since season 30 in 2021, when she competed alongside fiancé Brian Austin Green.

“I’m back!” Burgess announced on GMA. “Some of you guys guessed it. Yes, I am here with a special announcement to finally confirm I’m back on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ baby. I’m going to be competing for that Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy”.

Burgess, who previously took home the Mirrorball Trophy with Bobby Bones in season 27, will return as a pro for what will be her 15th season competing on the show. The Australian-born dancer first joined the show as a pro in season 16 after being part of the troupe.

Burgess’s return comes after she initially stepped away in 2022 following the birth of her son, Zane, whom she shares with Green. She later told Us Weekly that she missed dancing and would “absolutely say yes” if asked to return.

Season 35 will kick off with a two-night premiere on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET. Burgess joins Witney Carson as the second pro confirmed for the upcoming season. The full celebrity cast will be revealed on Good Morning America on September 2.
