Born Ahmed Ololade Asake, the Lagos-born singer has become one of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats exports. His music is known for blending Afrobeats, Fuji and Amapiano influences with his distinctive vocal style.
Asake’s big breakthrough came in 2022 after signing with YBNL Nation. His Ololade Asake EP and hits like “Omo Ope,” “Sungba” and “Peace Be Unto You” quickly pushed him into the spotlight.
His debut album, Mr. Money with the Vibe, arrived in September 2022 and established Asake as a major force in Afrobeats. The project blended street-pop energy with Fuji-inspired sounds and became a major international success.
From Work of Art to Lungu Boy, Asake continued expanding his sound and audience. His collaborations have included major names such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Stormzy and Travis Scott, helping cement his international profile.
In 2026, Asake entered a new era with M$NEY, his first full-length project under his own Giran Republic imprint after leaving YBNL. The album explores a broader mix of Afrobeats, Amapiano, jazz and orchestral sounds.
