Kim Kardashian Kris Jenner Deny Sex Tape Claims in Sworn Court Declarations

Nearly two decades after a private recording changed pop culture forever, Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner have broken their silence under oath. In sworn court declarations filed March 10, 2026, the mother-daughter duo flatly denied Ray J’s allegations that they conspired to leak the infamous 2007 sex tape that launched Kardashian into superstardom.

The legal battle, which has been brewing since October 2025, when Kardashian and Jenner sued Ray J for defamation over his racketeering claims, has now escalated into a high-stakes war of sworn testimony. As Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner deny sex tape claims in no uncertain terms, Ray J and his legal team are crying foul, accusing the reality TV royalty of lying under oath.

In her declaration filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, Kardashian was unequivocal. “His claim that I had a plan with my mother and others to release a sex tape, defraud the public, and file a ‘fake’ lawsuit against the porn company that released it to ‘create buzz’ is a lie,” the 45-year-old SKIMS founder stated.

She further pushed back against Ray J’s broader accusations, writing, “My family and I are not part of a criminal enterprise; we have not conducted racketeering activity, nor have we profited from racketeering activities as the defendant claims.”

Jenner, 70, matched her daughter’s forceful tone. The momager called suggestions that she orchestrated the tape’s release “absolutely false.” Her declaration painted a picture of maternal anguish rather than calculated scheming.

“I was absolutely heartbroken, crushed and devastated as a mother to see my daughter in this situation where her most intimate and private moments were exposed to the world,” Jenner wrote. “In no world would I ever be involved in any way, shape or form in peddling any tapes of my daughter like this. Defendant’s insinuations to the contrary are utterly false and disgusting.”

Jenner added that the accusations have haunted her for decades and driven her to therapy, a direct result, she claims, of Ray J’s relentless public attacks.

The response from Ray J, 45, was immediate and incendiary. He accused both women of perjury.

“Are they out of their f***ing minds?” he asked. “The fact of the matter is, if you lie like that under oath, don’t you go to jail? Don’t you get fined?”

Ray J claims he sat in a room with Kris and Kim, alongside executives from Vivid Entertainment, the tape’s distributor, to negotiate a deal. He alleges that both he and Kardashian were paid $400,000 each for three sex tapes: two filmed in Cabo San Lucas and one in Santa Barbara. Regarding the Santa Barbara tape, Ray J claims Kris Jenner personally instructed them to make it “dirtier.”

His motivation for fighting extends beyond personal vindication. “My two children don’t deserve to grow up thinking their dad did something like revenge porn or hurt someone on purpose,” Ray J said. “That’s not the truth, and I’m not going to let that narrative follow them through their lives.”

Ray J’s attorney, Howard King, escalated the rhetoric further. In a statement to Rolling Stone, King suggested Kardashian’s sworn statements could jeopardize her ongoing quest to become a licensed attorney in California.

“If Ms. Kardashian is so concerned about demonstrating to the State Bar that she possesses the requisite moral character to be admitted to the Bar, when and if she passes the bar exam, she should not be committing perjury,” King said. “Her sworn statements that she did not steal money from Ray’s mother and that she and her mother did not orchestrate a false narrative about the release of the sex tape are demonstrably false and could subject her to criminal perjury prosecution.”

Ray J’s mother, Sonja Norwood, also entered the fray. In a pointed Facebook post, she addressed Kris Jenner directly.

“And Kris, momager, you say you did not orchestrate the commercial release of the tape. Then who did?” Norwood wrote.

She vowed to support her son “however long it takes,” adding, “And if that truth journey must continue all the way to the doorstep of God’s judgment, then so be it.”

This latest clash is merely the most recent chapter in a saga stretching back to 2003, when Kardashian and Ray J began dating. The tape’s 2007 release by Vivid Entertainment coincided with the premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, a coincidence Ray J’s legal team argues was no coincidence at all.

Kardashian and Jenner initially sued Ray J in October 2025, claiming he defamed them by suggesting they were involved in a racketeering conspiracy “worse than Diddy.” Ray J countersued in November 2025, alleging the family violated a settlement agreement barring discussion of the tape.

A hearing on Ray J’s motion to dismiss the Kardashian/Jenner lawsuit was held in early March. A ruling is expected any day. Until then, the war of words and sworn statements shows no signs of cooling.
