In a recent interview, Kid Cudi revealed he “hated every minute” of testifying in the federal trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The rapper, whose legal name is Scott Mescudi, said he was subpoenaed after twice declining to participate.
He explained that his motivation to testify was to support his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who was a key witness in the trial.
Cudi’s testimony, which occurred in May, focused on events from 2011 and 2012 when he dated Ventura.
He spoke about his belief that Combs was behind a break-in at his home and the firebombing of his car. Combs was later convicted of two charges related to prostitution but acquitted on more serious charges.
