Cardi B Teases Including 2018 Hit ‘Money’ on Upcoming Album: “Should I Make Them Madder?”

Cardi B is never one to shy away from clapping back—and this time, she’s doing it with platinum receipts.

In an exclusive report from The Jasmine Brand, the Grammy-winning rapper responded to online chatter questioning her decision to include older singles like WAP and Up on her much-anticipated sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, set for release on September 19.

Earlier today (June 26), Cardi popped into the comment section of a post about the album rollout to address a fan who asked why she hadn’t included other chart-toppers like her 2018 smash Money or Enough—tracks released after her debut album Invasion of Privacy.

Cardi’s fiery response?

“I mean Money is 5x platinum… I should do that right and make them madder? You right!!!”

While she may have been joking, her comment quickly reignited buzz around the iconic track. Money, released in 2018, was a major hit, earning Cardi several accolades including Best Hip Hop Video at both the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards and MTV VMAs.

Cardi had previously explained that she’s including WAP and Up on the new album because, in her words, those songs “deserve a home.” And considering their commercial success—WAP went multi-platinum and dominated global charts—it’s clear the Bronx rapper is curating an album that reflects both past wins and fresh heat.

With Am I the Drama? just around the corner, fans are eagerly awaiting the final tracklist to see which of her past hits might make a comeback—and which new bangers will be born.

Stay tuned—Cardi’s not done making noise.
