Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, is set to undertake a solo week-long royal tour of Canada from June 25 to July 2, Buckingham Palace has announced. The 61-year-old royal will carry out an extensive series of official engagements across Prince Edward Island, Toronto, and Ottawa, marking his first visit to Canada since April 2023.
Celebrating Military Ties & Indigenous Engagement
As Colonel-in-Chief of The Prince Edward Island Regiment since 2005, Edward will headline celebrations for the regiment’s 150th anniversary, including a Freedom of the City parade. He’ll also engage with the Abegweit First Nation, joining an educational forum that brings together representatives from all four Atlantic provinces—underscoring his continued focus on Indigenous issues and reconciliation
