Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin are trading Hollywood glitz for heartfelt simplicity when it comes to their big day. The famously private pair are planning a small, intimate wedding—proving that even in Tinseltown, less can still mean more.
Despite their A-list connections, the soon-to-be newlyweds are opting for a guest list of fewer than 100 people. “They aren’t planning anything huge,” an insider spilled to Life & Style. “They want to keep it under 100 guests, although that might be tricky with all their family and celebrity friends.”
Some star power is still expected on the scene. Brenda’s Running Point co-star Kate Hudson is rumored to attend with her fiancé Danny Fujikawa and their kids, while Macaulay’s brother Kieran Culkin is expected to show up with the extended Culkin crew.

The couple—who live in a lavish Toluca Lake mansion—are including their two young sons, Dakota (4) and Carson (2), in the ceremony. “The boys are going to be a part of the celebration,” the source revealed, adding a touching family-first vibe to the event.

Brenda and Macaulay, who began dating in 2017 after co-starring in Changeland, got engaged in January 2022. They’ve already been living like husband and wife, but are finally making it official now that Brenda has a break from her packed work schedule.
“They already live like they’re married,” the insider explained. “But they want to formalize things in front of their loved ones—and now Brenda finally has the time to plan.”
The wedding is reportedly set for Southern California—likely Santa Barbara—for the ease of local guests. Keeping in line with their minimal approach, the couple is skipping the traditional wedding party: no bridesmaids, no groomsmen.
“They want to keep it low-key,” the source added. “They even considered eloping, but ultimately knew their families would want to be part of the moment.”
Brenda confirmed that thought, telling Cosmopolitan, “If we eloped, my mom would have a heart attack that she wasn’t going to be there.”
Macaulay chimed in with his signature humor: “I wouldn’t even!”
From a chance meeting at Seth Green’s house in 2014 to nearly a decade of love and two beautiful kids later, Brenda and Macaulay’s wedding is shaping up to be a celebration of family, friendship, and forever.
Stay tuned—this low-key affair may just be one of the sweetest celebrity weddings of the year.
