Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has publicly disowned his family following explosive revelations in court where he testified against his elder brother Jude Okoye, who is currently facing serious money laundering charges.
Jude, alongside Northside Music Limited, is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged laundering of ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.

After his testimony on Monday at the Federal High Court in Lagos, Mr P took to Instagram Stories to drop some heavy words about the ongoing family saga. His message was raw and deeply personal:
“Don’t let ‘family’ be the reason you’re drowning in silence. I did – for over 20 years plus. And it almost cost me everything.”
“But now I know better – love doesn’t manipulate, loyalty doesn’t betray and family does not steal from you. Family that steals and breaks you isn’t family at all… My sanity matters. My mental health is a priority. If it costs my mental health, then it’s too expensive.”
His words suggest a long history of unresolved conflict, hinting that the recent court battle is only the tip of a much deeper iceberg within the Okoye family.

Mr P claims that Jude used the new company to funnel and launder funds belonging to P-Square, allegedly with the knowledge and cooperation of his twin brother, Paul Okoye (aka Rudeboy).
