Nigerian media personality and actress KieKie is known for her wit, energy, and bold fashion, but few know she has deep roots in gospel music.
In a recent interview with Pulse, the content queen opened up about her early days in Ibadan, where she served as the lead praise and worship singer in her church for two years. According to KieKie, if life hadn’t taken her down the path of comedy and media, she would have chased a career as a gospel artist.
“Music has always been a part of me. I was the lead singer on the praise team back in my church in Ibadan before I moved to Lagos,” she said.
KieKie also shared her love for drumming, saying she found a strong connection with rhythm and worship from an early age. But after relocating to Lagos, her passion for media and entertainment took center stage, propelling her into the limelight as a fast-rising star in Nollywood and content creation.
Now, even though she’s more known for comedy skits and red-carpet hosting, KieKie says music remains close to her heart — and fans just might hear her sing again someday.
