Tina Knowles Claps Back at Critics After Beyonce’s Epic NFL Christmas Halftime Show

Tina Knowles, the proud mom of global icon Beyonce, is not holding back after her daughter faced backlash for her spectacular halftime performance during the NFL’s Christmas Gameday. Taking to Instagram on December 27, Knowles passionately defended her daughter, slamming the haters who dared to criticize Beyonce’s 13-minute spectacle.

Sharing a fan’s glowing review of Beyonce’s performance, Knowles wrote, “My sentiments exactly! It’s mind-boggling to me that some people would take their precious Christmas Day to watch someone they claim to hate, only to bash them later. Obviously, they’re obsessed, addicted, and secretly admire her!” She added a fiery jab, suggesting critics “watch cartoons or Bozo the Clown—something they can relate to.”

This fiery post comes after Beyonce lit up the stage on December 25 at Houston’s NRG Stadium during the Texans vs. Ravens game. Performing hits from her chart-topping album Cowboy Carter, Beyonce was joined by her daughter Blue Ivy and artists like Shaboozey and Post Malone. Fans hailed the show as groundbreaking, but critics still managed to stir the pot.

Despite the noise, the numbers don’t lie. Beyonce’s halftime performance drew a staggering 27 million viewers on Netflix, outperforming the NFL games aired the same day. Tina Knowles celebrated the win, quoting her daughter’s motto: “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.”

The performance featured breathtaking stunts, marching bands, and seamless choreography that left fans in awe. Celebrities like Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Uzo Aduba joined the chorus of support, with Loni Love summing it up perfectly: “That boo boo got on horses, cars, two-stepped, brought her baby to two-step, sang, danced, flew in the sky, and kept that cowboy hat perfect in 13 minutes… haters could never!”

Beyond defending Beyonce, Tina Knowles has long been her daughter’s biggest cheerleader. From wardrobe director for Beyonce’s 2013 documentary Life Is But a Dream to appearances in Lemonadeand Homecoming, Knowles has been a constant in her daughter’s meteoric career.

The critics may talk, but Beyonce—and her mama—have proven once again that their star power is unstoppable.
