Andrés Iniesta, the iconic former Barcelona and Spain midfielder, has taken a new step in his football journey by becoming the majority owner of Danish club FC Helsingør through his NSN venture. Iniesta, who retired from professional play last month, follows in the footsteps of former teammate Gerard Piqué, venturing into club ownership with ambitions to make an impact in Danish football.

The acquisition marks a new chapter for FC Helsingør, a Danish second-tier team that was relegated from the top division last season. Iniesta’s involvement with the club began earlier this year when his company served as a consultant, eventually leading to this investment.

“We have started working with FC Helsingør because it is an incredibly exciting club with really good facilities, a lot of good people in and around the club, and a potential in the city to become an important part of Danish football,” Iniesta told Helsingør Dagblad.

Beyond his ownership role, Iniesta is also studying for a coaching career, demonstrating his ongoing dedication to the sport even after retiring from the field.
