HBO’s Max just dropped an exciting teaser for its 2024 and 2025 slate, featuring the highly anticipated PeacemakerSeason 2. The two-minute trailer gives fans their first glimpse at returning cast members, including John Cena as the unapologetically patriotic Peacemaker, Freddie Stroma’s Vigilante, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, and Jennifer Holland’s Emilia Harcourt. Also joining the action is Frank Grillo, debuting as Rick Flag Sr.
This second season of Peacemaker, part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s revamped DC Universe, will continue the offbeat hero’s adventures, with Gunn once again at the helm as creator and showrunner. Originally teased in August 2021 and officially greenlit in early 2022, Peacemaker Season 2 is set to bring fans eight new episodes in 2025. Production kicked off while Gunn’s Superman film was still in the works, with Cena hinting that filming could wrap by Christmas 2024.
In addition to Peacemaker, the Max trailer previewed several other major titles. Upcoming 2024 releases include Dune: Prophecy, The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 3, and Creature Commandos. For 2025, fans can look forward to The White Lotus Season 3, It: Welcome to Derry, The Righteous Gemstones Season 4, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms—all of which promise to keep viewers hooked in the coming year.
