An Argentinian waiter, Braian Nahuel Paiz, who was arrested in connection with the recent death of Liam Payne, has shared new claims about his time with the late singer. Paiz says he initially met Payne while serving him and his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, at a Buenos Aires restaurant, where they exchanged details and reconnected later through Payne’s private Instagram account.
Paiz recounts that during two subsequent hotel meetings with Payne, they drank whiskey, smoked marijuana, and allegedly used cocaine together. He asserts that Payne was already under the influence when they met and that their interactions were cordial, with the singer being “really sweet.” Paiz also claims Payne offered him personal items as a memento, which he declined.
According to Paiz, Payne returned for another meeting on October 13, just days before his death. Their last encounter allegedly ended with Payne asking Paiz to join him back at his hotel, which Paiz declined due to work obligations. The following week, Payne tragically died after falling from a hotel balcony. Authorities have since charged Paiz, along with two others, with abandonment of a person resulting in death, as well as supplying and facilitating narcotics.
Paiz’s account sheds light on Payne’s final days, marked by partying and substance use. His girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, reportedly left Argentina for Florida two days before Payne’s death, adding further mystery to the pop star’s untimely passing at age 31.
