Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s mother is taking shots at the late actor’s widow, Tenisha Warner, for dragging her to court over money. Pamela Warner, who serves as successor trustee of her son’s Warner Family Trust, is speaking out against what she calls “untrue” claims from Tenisha.
Pamela Warner is pushing back against a $1.2 million lawsuit filed by Tenisha, alleging that Malcolm failed to fulfill financial promises outlined in their prenuptial agreement. Pamela claims she attempted to resolve the matter privately and even offered Tenisha and their daughter, MacKenzie, a generous settlement that would have given them the majority of the trust. This included:
A $2 million life insurance policy for the granddaughter
A trust used to purchase a Georgia home for Tenisha and their daughter
A $2.4 million retirement plan intended for the widow
Despite these offers, Pamela alleges Tenisha rejected the private resolution and chose to pursue legal action instead . Pamela has since reached a settlement directly with her granddaughter’s court-appointed guardian, which is now pending court approval . She is now asking the court to approve this settlement and throw out Tenisha’s separate lawsuit in Georgia.
Tenisha claims Malcolm had intended to update his estate plan to provide for his wife and daughter, but died before finalizing it. She is seeking $1.2 million, which she argues is owed under the couple’s prenuptial agreement for a life insurance policy, salary, and other obligations . Malcolm-Jamal Warner died at age 54 in an accidental drowning in Costa Rica on July 20, 2025.
