Beyoncé has announced a personal donation of $1 million to support emergency relief efforts in Colombia following a devastating natural disaster. The funds, released via Parkwood Entertainment, are strictly earmarked to provide immediate food and housing supplies to the hardest-hit areas.
A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck the Chocó region of western Colombia on August 10, 2026. The disaster resulted in at least 312 fatalities, destroyed roughly 29,000 homes, and displaced an estimated 69,000 people. The Colombian government declared a national state of disaster and activated national mechanisms for disaster response.
The donation announcement came via Parkwood Entertainment on August 25, 2026. According to the statement, the funds are destined to provide “food and housing supplies to areas most affected” by the quake. The official release encourages further public support through trusted humanitarian organizations like Food For The Poor and World Central Kitchen.
