KATSEYE’s numbers may have dwindled, but the group still has lots of love for all of its members. The global girl group is currently moving forward as a quartet with Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae after two members stepped away from the group this year.

Manon Bannerman announced a temporary hiatus from KATSEYE in February 2026, with the label citing health and well-being reasons. In the months since, the Swiss singer has been spotted at fashion events, though her future with the group remains unclear.

Sophia Laforteza, the group’s leader, announced her own temporary hiatus on August 7, 2026, to prioritize her mental health and wellness. The label stated she has been advised to take “extended rest and ongoing care to ensure a full recovery,” with her condition set to be reassessed in September. Sophia shared, “It truly breaks my heart to have to miss out on a lot. You know how much I love being on stage, performing, and sharing these moments with you”.

Despite the absences, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae released their third EP WILD on August 14, 2026 . The project includes the Ed Sheeran co-written single “Animal” and marks a more mature sound for the group . They are also set to embark on their “WILD WORLD TOUR,” beginning September 1.

The group’s documentary, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, which premiered in theaters in August, features emotional tributes to Manon, with members praising her charisma and authenticity . The remaining members have expressed their love and support for their absent bandmates while continuing to build the group’s momentum.
