Ryan De Nino, who appeared on season 2 of Married at First Sight, has died at age 40, according to a tribute shared by his sister, Melissa De Nino. Melissa shared several photos of Ryan with family members on social media, remembering him as “funny, loyal and big-hearted” in a heartfelt tribute on Friday, Aug. 14 .
Ryan appeared on the second season of the hit reality show in 2015, where he was matched with Jessica Castro. The couple’s journey on the show was tumultuous, with Ryan quickly expressing doubts about the relationship. Ultimately, they decided not to stay together after Decision Day.
Following the show, Ryan became a firefighter in New York City. He was also a single father to a daughter. His sister’s tribute noted that he leaves behind his “daughter, family, and friends who love him” and that he will “forever be their guardian angel.”
