Real Housewives of Atlanta star Pinky Cole is navigating financial turbulence under the public eye, with new court documents revealing her monthly budget is tighter than most would expect for a celebrated entrepreneur. The Slutty Vegan founder listed her monthly income as just $6,000 in a recently filed proposed plan of reorganization, according to legal documents obtained.
The reality star filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February to address her debts, which have since been estimated at nearly $4 million. The documents paint a detailed picture of her current financial life: she budgets $800 for groceries, $300 for medical expenses, and just $80 for gas. After setting aside over $1,500 for Georgia state taxes and $1,343 for federal taxes, Cole is left with approximately $1,500 per month in disposable income.
Cole built Slutty Vegan from a ghost kitchen into a multi-state brand once valued at $100 million, but rapid expansion came at a cost. Over-expansion, high payroll, and rising overheads created significant financial pressure, with the company at one point $20 million in debt. More than half of Slutty Vegan’s 14 locations have since closed, though some remain open, including locations in Baltimore.
Adding to her financial headache, Cole has been embroiled in a dispute over one of her investment properties. She claims a creditor improperly seized her 6-bedroom, 4-bathroom home in Loganville, Georgia, changing the locks despite the automatic stay provided by her bankruptcy filing. Cole argued the seizure was causing “extreme financial harm” as she had a prospective tenant ready to move in. Her lawyer called the seizure unlawful, and Cole was ultimately able to regain access to the property.
Despite the financial reckoning, Cole remains a cast member on the new season of RHOA and has publicly discussed her situation, hoping her story of rebuilding will inspire other entrepreneurs.
