Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO Amicably Dividing Assets Amid Divorce

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO are wasting no time untangling their lives. The country star filed for divorce from his wife of nearly ten years on May 18 in Williamson County, Tennessee, citing irreconcilable differences, and sources say the split has been moving smoothly behind the scenes.

Multiple sources confirm that both sides are focused on ensuring each person gets what they deserve, and so far, there have been no major disputes over money or property. In fact, Bunnie is already walking away with at least one of the couple’s Nashville-area homes as part of the asset division. The former couple has already been living separately, with a moving truck spotted outside the property they once shared. Sources say it was Bunnie making the move.

The petition filed by Jelly Roll, real name Jason Bradley DeFord, requests a marital dissolution agreement that allows for an “equitable division” of assets, including a Nashville mansion and a 500-acre farm. The filing also states the couple will split responsibility for payment of their debts.

Attorney Rose Palermo, known for handling high-profile celebrity divorces including Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s split, is representing Jelly Roll. Bunnie is being represented by attorneys Neil Campbell and Marykate E. Williams.

The split was reportedly not triggered by a single event but by evolving priorities over time. Sources indicate the couple, who met at one of Jelly Roll’s concerts in 2015 and married in a secret Las Vegas ceremony in 2016, had “always had a complicated dynamic”.

Jelly Roll frequently credited Bunnie with transforming his life during his early struggles, saying in a Grammy acceptance speech earlier this year: “I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail… I thank you for that”.

The couple renewed their vows in 2023 and had recently been exploring IVF and surrogacy to expand their family. The divorce papers list their separation date as May 9 , and Jelly Roll has since removed Bunnie’s name from his Instagram bio.

Despite the split, sources say the divorce remains amicable. Bunnie has not publicly commented, but posted a message on Instagram reading, “She’s getting her sparkle back”. The estate they once shared could eventually be sold as both parties move forward with their separate lives.
