Drake’s ICEMAN release date is officially locked in. The rapper confirmed his ninth studio album will drop May 15, 2026, after hiding the date inside a towering ice pyramid in downtown Toronto. The ICEMAN album May 15 arrival marks Drake’s first solo project since 2023’s For All the Dogs.
The reveal turned into a city-wide scavenger hunt. Drake posted coordinates to a Bond Hotel parking lot, where a 25-foot ice structure stood with one message: “Release date inside”. Fans arrived with blowtorches, sledgehammers, and pickaxes, desperate to uncover the secret before nature could melt it.
The ice pyramid cost an estimated $1.2 million, used one million pounds of ice, and took 30 hours to construct. But Toronto’s fire department ultimately stepped in, citing safety concerns as fans grew increasingly aggressive with their tools. Mayor Olivia Chow supported the decision to dismantle the installation.
Before crews could finish the job, Twitch streamer Kishka scaled the structure and retrieved a blue waterproof bag from near the top. The bag bore the words “Freeze The World.” He was escorted to Drake’s residence, where management team member Matte Babel welcomed him. Inside the bag: a concept art book and a card reading May 15, 2026 .
The album follows a year of teases. Three singles have already dropped: “What Did I Miss?” (July 2025), “Which One” with Central Cee (July 2025), and “Dog House” featuring Yeat and Julia Wolf (September 2025) . Confirmed producers include Tay Keith and Oz.
The rollout also included frozen courtside seats at a Raptors game and a permitted explosion in North York tied to a music video shoot. ICEMAN drops in just 20 days.
