It has been exactly one year since the couple held the internet in a chokehold. Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux are celebrating their first traditional wedding anniversary, known as a tradiversary. The mom of one took to social media with a heartfelt message: 365 days since we danced before our elders. Forever to go.

The Nigerian influencer and daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo shared a video from their lavish traditional ceremony. The clip captured the joy, the colors, and the cultural richness of a day that fans still talk about. Her message was simple but loaded with meaning: their love story is just getting started.

Priscilla and Juma first went public with their relationship in July 2024. What followed was a cross-continental romance that captured fans from Lagos to Dar es Salaam. The couple formalized their union with a private Nikkah ceremony in Tanzania in February 2025 before revealing it to the public.

Their traditional wedding in Nigeria took place in April 2025. It was one of several celebrations, including a civil ceremony, a white wedding on a Lagos beachfront, and a grand finale in Tanzania. The multi-part wedding saga became a social media phenomenon.

Iyabo Ojo, the groom’s mother-in-law and Nollywood veteran, marked the occasion with an emotional tribute of her own. She shared a video reflecting on God’s goodness and the journey that led to her daughter’s widely celebrated marriage.

She prayed for long life, good health, happiness, and enduring prosperity for the couple and their growing family. She also extended thanks to everyone who made the wedding series unforgettable. Her message included hopes for future grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a prayer that extended generations into the future.

The couple did not wait long to expand their family. On August 24, 2025, Priscilla gave birth to their first child, a son named Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada. The arrival of their baby boy added another layer of joy to an already fairy-tale year.

Fans have followed every step of their journey. From the public proposal with a ring twice the size of the first, to the traditional dances, to the intimate moments of parenthood. Juma has been open about his devotion. He once said during his proposal: “I love you with everything in me and I can’t wait to spend forever with you my love.”

The couple’s traditional wedding was so significant that it inspired music. Juma Jux released a special EP titled “A Day to Remember,” a heartfelt musical project chronicling their journey to marriage. The music video for “God Design, King of Hearts” doubled as a visual diary of their Lagos ceremony.

For Priscilla and Juma, the tradiversary is more than a date on the calendar. It is a celebration of two cultures coming together. Nigerian and Tanzanian traditions blended seamlessly throughout their wedding events. The traditional ceremony, in particular, honored Yoruba customs while honoring Juma’s Tanzanian heritage.

The couple has also faced challenges together. Priscilla recently fired back at a social media user who publicly offered to become her husband’s second wife. Her response, “HOLY GHOST FIRE”, went viral and showed she is not afraid to protect her marriage.

One year after dancing before their elders, Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux are still dancing. Through a baby boy, a hit EP, viral moments, and unwavering love, they have proven that cross-continental romance can work. As Priscilla wrote: “Forever to go.” And based on everything so far, forever looks good on them.
