Controversial influencer Ash Trevino can’t stop documenting her own legal troubles. The 36-year-old internet personality was booked into Ellis County Jail on March 4 for the second time in three months, this time for allegedly violating the very bond conditions meant to keep her out of trouble. Her mistake? Posting photographic evidence on social media.

Prosecutors filed a motion on February 24 to hold Trevino’s bond insufficient, alleging she had consumed alcohol on one occasion and purchased it on another, both direct violations of her bail agreement. The state claims they learned of these violations after Trevino shared images of herself drinking at a birthday party and later posted a receipt showing an alcohol purchase at a restaurant.

Trevino’s legal saga began on December 17, 2025, when Venus Police spotted her in a white BMW and recognized her from prior dealings. She was arrested on two active felony warrants: healthcare fraud and welfare fraud, both involving amounts between $2,500 and $30,000.

The welfare fraud charge allegedly involves a “continuing course of conduct” spanning five years, from May 2019 to July 2024. The state claims Trevino used deception to get the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to approve applications for SNAP and Medicaid benefits. The healthcare fraud charge alleges she knowingly concealed additional income sources to receive unauthorized Medicaid benefits.

She posted $15,000 bond and was released, but with strings attached.

After her December arrest, the court imposed specific conditions on Trevino’s freedom. She received an 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew enforced by an ankle monitor. She was ordered not to enter any establishment that primarily serves alcohol. She entered a pretrial supervision program and agreed to submit to random drug and alcohol testing. And she was explicitly warned: do not post about the case on social media.

She allegedly violated nearly half of them.

According to court documents, prosecutors say Trevino drank alcohol at a birthday party and posted photos of herself doing it. On another occasion, she allegedly purchased alcohol at a restaurant and shared a photo of the receipt online. Both actions, prosecutors argue, violated her bond agreement.

Trevino’s legal team has denied any violations, maintaining she complied with all bail conditions.

The March 4 arrest landed Trevino back in Ellis County Jail, though she was released the same day. The judge revoked her original bond and set a new one at $25,000, a $10,000 increase. The court reimposed all previous restrictions: no alcohol, no bars, curfew with ankle monitor, random testing, and a renewed warning to stay off social media regarding the case

With over 500,000 followers across Instagram and Snapchat, Trevino built her platform on what she calls “inmate hopping”, openly documenting relationships with incarcerated men. Her content has drawn frequent criticism, including backlash over parenting choices after she admitted her teenage daughters didn’t have beds, claiming her fame made furniture shopping difficult.

She’s also faced scrutiny for livestreaming from a hospital with her daughter to solicit gifts and bringing convicted felons around her children. In one livestream, she reportedly discussed driving under the influence, leading to temporary bans on multiple platforms.

After her December release, Trevino laughed on camera as she left jail, telling followers she had an attorney and planned to visit a casino. “I date inmates, I don’t become an inmate,” she said. “Now, I’m an inmate”.

Now she’s back where she started, ankle monitor and all, with a higher bond and fewer places to go. The woman who built a following documenting her life may have finally documented herself into a corner.
