Brooklyn Beckham Ignores Parents’ Birthday Wishes as Feud Deepens

Brooklyn Beckham turned 27 on March 4, but the birthday candles illuminated more than just cake, they exposed a family still deeply divided. His parents, David and Victoria Beckham, posted public birthday wishes on Instagram. Brooklyn never saw them. He still has them blocked.

The eldest Beckham son spent his birthday surrounded by his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and close friends, but sources confirm he hasn’t spoken to either parent, not a single call, not a text, nothing. The silence marks two months since Brooklyn dropped a six-page Instagram statement accusing his parents of trying to “ruin” his marriage and prioritizing the “Brand Beckham” image over family.

David Beckham shared two photos on his Instagram Stories, one of himself and Victoria in a pool with a toddler-aged Brooklyn, and another black-and-white shot of father and son. “Twenty-seven today. Happy birthday, bust, we love you,” he wrote, using the nickname tattooed on his neck.

Victoria posted her own tribute: a photo of herself with Brooklyn as a toddler, captioned with heart emojis and “Happy 27th Birthday Brooklyn, I love you so much”.

Lovely gestures. Completely invisible to their intended recipient. Brooklyn maintains his social media blockade; a digital wall built from months of accumulated grievances.

The current estrangement traces back to January, when Brooklyn published a lengthy Instagram statement detailing years of alleged manipulation and mistreatment.

He claimed his mother “cancelled making Nicola’s wedding dress at the eleventh hour,” forcing his fiancée to scramble for an alternative. He described his mother “dancing very inappropriately on me” during what was supposed to be his first dance with Nicola at their 2022 wedding, performed in front of 500 guests including singer Marc Anthony.

“Brand Beckham” always came first, Brooklyn wrote. He accused his parents of pressuring him to sign away rights to his name before the wedding, warning the deal would affect him, his wife, and their future children.

He also detailed a 2025 trip to London for David’s 50th birthday, waiting in a hotel room all week, trying to schedule quality time, being “refused” unless he appeared at the televised party with “cameras at every corner.” When David finally agreed to meet, the condition was clear: Nicola couldn’t come.

If words weren’t enough, Brooklyn has made his position physical. He reportedly removed tattoos honoring his father, including “dad” and “Love you Bust” inked on his right arm, through laser removal. The tattoos once symbolized a bond strong enough that David accompanied him to get them.

David, ironically, still wears “Buster” tattooed on his neck, a permanent reminder of the son who no longer wants to be called that name.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” Brooklyn declared in his January statement. He claimed the “overwhelming anxiety” he experienced his entire life “has disappeared” since distancing himself.

“I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief,” he wrote. The couple renewed their vows in August 2025, creating what Brooklyn called “memories that bring joy and happiness, not anxiety and awkwardness”.

His younger brother Cruz previously confirmed the family is blocked, telling media his parents “woke up and found they were blocked, just like me”.

David and Victoria have maintained public silence throughout. David addressed the situation indirectly at the World Economic Forum in January, telling CNBC that “children make mistakes” and parents must “sometimes let them make those mistakes”.

Friends tell media the Beckhams harbor no ill will and “want Brooklyn to return whenever he wishes,” insisting their actions stem from “care, not malice”. Whether Brooklyn hears that message through the blocked accounts and removed tattoos remains unclear.

For now, the birthday posts float in the digital void, public expressions of love from parents to a son who has made it abundantly clear he doesn’t want to receive them.
