Erik ten Hag has been tasked with rebuilding Bayer Leverkusen one year after their stunning unbeaten Bundesliga title triumph, hoping for a fresh start to restore both the club and his own reputation.
Leverkusen have signed eight players under 24, including Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah and Netherlands goalkeeper Mark Flekken, as part of a youth-led revolution.
The Dutch manager admits the squad needs rebuilding after losing key players like Florian Wirtz, Granit Xhaka, Jonathan Tah, and Jeremie Frimpong.
Leverkusen open their Bundesliga season at home against Hoffenheim on Saturday.
