Inter Miami striker Luis Suárez revealed at a recent press conference his desire to retire alongside best friend Lionel Messi, stating “I want to retire with Messi because Leo and I have been talking about retiring together for years.”
The Uruguayan forward, speaking ahead of Inter Miami’s Leagues Cup quarterfinal against Tigres, emphasized their long-standing friendship from their Barcelona days.
Suárez maintained that each player’s future doesn’t depend on the other while expressing hope they might get the chance to end their careers together.
The duo reunited at Inter Miami in 2023 after their successful partnership at Barcelona.
