Charlotte Crosby has opened up about the terrifying moment masked intruders broke into her £1.4 million mansion — and how she instinctively called her mum instead of the police.
The 35-year-old reality star, best known for Geordie Shore, revealed the shocking ordeal happened in November 2024 while she, her fiancé Jake Ankers, and their two-year-old daughter Alba were at home. Even more frightening — Charlotte was pregnant with their second daughter, Pixie, at the time.
Speaking on the Live Laugh Luke podcast, Charlotte said:
“We just got broken into, but it was very scary because I was obviously pregnant. It all happened really fast. They came in basically when we were already in the house.”
The couple were downstairs when they heard footsteps above them. “You know when you think you hear a sound and you hold your breath because you’re scared? It was like that. Then we heard footsteps upstairs — and that was it. I froze.”
In a moment of panic, Charlotte admitted she didn’t call 999 — because she’d never done it before.
“I’ve never rang the police before. Even in that moment, I still didn’t. I was ringing my mum — and then I told her to ring the police!”
Jake rushed upstairs and bravely chased the intruders out before they had time to steal anything. “They didn’t have time,” she said. “I was stood at the bottom of the stairs holding Alba while Jake ran after them.”
Following the break-in, Charlotte and Jake decided to sell the home — though she clarified the decision wasn’t solely based on the incident.
“We were already looking at houses to move before that. The house was just too big.”
Since the traumatic event, the couple have invested heavily in security — and Charlotte has vowed never to share her home’s location online again.
“We have very intense security now, and it’s very expensive. It’s everything you can imagine for close protection — but no bodyguard!”
This terrifying experience has left Charlotte determined to protect her family’s privacy and safety — while reminding fans that even reality stars aren’t immune to real-life dangers.
