Trump Reportedly Considering Pardon for Sean “Diddy” Combs Ahead of October Sentencing

Former U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly weighing the possibility of granting a full pardon to embattled music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, just weeks before Combs’ sentencing in a high-profile federal case scheduled for October 3, 2025.

According to Vanguard, the idea of a pardon is currently being discussed within Trump’s inner circle, though no official decision or public confirmation has been made.

Combs, 55, was convicted by a federal jury in New York on charges related to transporting individuals for prostitution. He was cleared of the more severe sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Prosecutors are seeking a sentence of 2–3 years in federal prison, while Combs’ legal team is expected to file an appeal after sentencing.

Supporters Lobby for Presidential Mercy

Sources say several individuals close to Combs have already reached out to Trump’s team, urging a pardon. However, Combs’ legal representatives have not publicly joined the effort, and no official pardon request has been confirmed by the White House.

Trump, who has issued high-profile pardons in the past, including to Lil Wayne and Kodak Black during his presidency, previously expressed openness to reviewing Combs’ case.

“If there’s a case of injustice, I’ll take a look at it,” Trump said during a recent campaign stop when asked about Combs’ conviction.

Once Social Allies, Now Political Rivals

While the two were previously spotted at elite social gatherings and once shared mutual respect in entertainment circles, Combs became a strong critic of Trump during the 2020 U.S. presidential election and publicly endorsed Joe Biden.

This political divide has led to skepticism about whether Trump would genuinely support Combs’ clemency bid — or whether the move could be politically calculated amid his ongoing 2024 campaign efforts.

Combs Denied Bond Requests

Meanwhile, Combs has been repeatedly denied a $50 million bond request, as prosecutors argue he remains a flight risk. His legal team continues to pursue options for temporary release before sentencing, with a final proposal expected by the end of July.

As public pressure mounts and discussions circulate behind the scenes, all eyes are now on Trump — and whether he’ll use his influence once again to change the fate of one of hip-hop’s most powerful figures.
