The world is mourning the loss of a wrestling legend, but for Sky Daily, it’s far more personal.

Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 24, at the age of 71. Despite a string of health battles in recent months, his wife Sky admits she was completely unprepared for the devastating turn of events.

In a deeply emotional Instagram post, Sky wrote:

“I wasn’t ready for this… and my heart is in pieces.”

“He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.”

Calling him “my Terry”, she reflected on their life together, their bond, and the man behind the muscle and fame:

“To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. My partner. My heart.”

Sky praised Hogan’s undying love for his fans, even through physical pain.

“Despite his growing discomfort, he still showed up — taking pictures, signing autographs, connecting with the people who gave him everything. You meant everything to him.”

She also found comfort in his faith:

“He was a believer in Christ, and I take peace in knowing his soul is at rest and he’s been welcomed home.”

Hogan had recently undergone a complicated four-level neck surgery in June, which affected his vocal cords and left him on breathing and feeding tubes during recovery. At the time, Sky shared that they were moving through the healing process “with love, strength, and patience.”

The pair had been together since 2022, got engaged in July 2023, and quietly tied the knot just two months later in Florida.

Clearwater Police confirmed that paramedics were called to the wrestling icon’s Florida home around 10 AM for a medical emergency. He was transported to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 AM.

WWE officially announced his passing shortly after.

Though the ring has gone silent, Hulk Hogan’s legacy will forever echo in arenas, living rooms, and hearts around the world.
